La Fundaci\u00f3n se constituye en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria el 2 de mayo de 1985 ante el notario del Ilustre colegio de Notarios de Las Palmas don Manuel Alarc\u00f3n S\u00e1nchez con el nombre de Fundaci\u00f3n Mutua Guanarteme.\/strong>\/p>\n
La Fundaci\u00f3n MAPFRE Canarias\/strong> es el resultado de la uni\u00f3n en 1992 de dos fundaciones, la Fundaci\u00f3n Mutua Guanarteme y la Fundaci\u00f3n MAPFRE, que desde entonces trabajan juntas por el desarrollo cultural y social de la comunidad canaria\/strong>.\/p>\n
El patronato de la Fundaci\u00f3n MAPFRE Canarias es el m\u00e1ximo \u00f3rgano de gobierno, representaci\u00f3n y administraci\u00f3n, con plenas facultades de disposici\u00f3n, administraci\u00f3n y ejecuci\u00f3n precisas para el cumplimiento de sus fines y la defensa de sus intereses, sin m\u00e1s limitaciones que las establecidas por las disposiciones legales aplicables y por los estatutos.\/p>\n
La comisi\u00f3n directiva es designada por el patronato y es la encargada de controlar la gesti\u00f3n de la fundaci\u00f3n y proponer al patronato la aprobaci\u00f3n de los acuerdos que adopte. La comisi\u00f3n directiva tendr\u00e1 las facultades y funciones que en cada momento determine el patronato, que dictar\u00e1 las normas precisas para su actuaci\u00f3n, con sujeci\u00f3n, en su caso, a los l\u00edmites establecidos en la legislaci\u00f3n aplicable.\/p>\n

En Fundaci\u00f3n MAPFRE Canarias somos conscientes de que s\u00f3lo entendiendo las nuevas realidades de este mundo cambiante seremos capaces de seguir avanzando en este proyecto global que se articula en diferentes \u00e1mbitos de actuaci\u00f3n. Para el cumplimiento de nuestros fines, llevamos a cabo una amplia gama de actividades en todo el mundo a trav\u00e9s de cuatro \u00e1reas que tienen un objetivo com\u00fan: nuestro compromiso responsable con la sociedad.\/p>\n
Las cuatro \u00e1reas en las que se articulan nuestras actividades son: Actividad formativa, Actividad Social, Actividad de Prevenci\u00f3n y divulgaci\u00f3n y Actividad cultural.\/p>\n
\u2022 El apoyo a la formaci\u00f3n, que ha sido constante desde nuestra creaci\u00f3n, es uno de nuestros objetivos prioritarios. Impulsamos la formaci\u00f3n, tanto de forma presencial, virtual, como a trav\u00e9s de los diversos programas de becas. Centramos nuestros esfuerzos en: la formaci\u00f3n para la excelencia, la promoci\u00f3n del talento y el fomento de la empleabilidad.\/p>\n
\u2022 En el \u00e1mbito de la acci\u00f3n social desarrollamos actividades y proyectos de mejora de la calidad de vida y el bienestar de los colectivos m\u00e1s sensibles de nuestra sociedad; luchamos por la inclusi\u00f3n social y la igualdad de oportunidades.\/p>\n
\u2022 En el \u00e1mbito de la de prevenci\u00f3n y divulgaci\u00f3n: sumando sinergias con Fundaci\u00f3n MAPFRE apostamos por sensibilizar a la poblaci\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de campa\u00f1as de formaci\u00f3n en la importancia de adquirir conductas responsables que minimicen al m\u00e1ximo la exposici\u00f3n a los accidentes. En colaboraci\u00f3n con la Fundaci\u00f3n Forja impartimos en los centros escolares charlas preventivas sobre alcohol,drogas, bullying y ciberacoso.\/p>\n
\u2022 Nuestro compromiso con la cultura se manifiesta a trav\u00e9s de una amplia oferta de exposiciones, conciertos, concursos y publicaciones, que forman parte de nuestra programaci\u00f3n de actividades cada a\u00f1o.\/p>\n
